As the Automation Test Manager, you'll be at the helm of our ETSA Automation team, guiding them through various projects and programs. Your responsibilities will include managing workloads, deploying resources effectively, providing mentorship and training, and setting the strategic vision for test automation. Collaboration with business and technology stakeholders will be key, as you represent our section and support enterprise testing services within the agency.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Lead, empower, and motivate the test automation team to deliver fit-for-purpose automated solutions and deliverables.
- Coach, mentor, and provide on-the-job training for team members, fostering their growth and development.
- Create and maintain documentation to support test automation delivery, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to identify suitable resources for estimates and delivery, building strong relationships across divisions.
- Drive strategic thinking and innovation within the team to enhance delivery efficiencies and advocate for its benefits across the organization.
**Role Requirements and Qualifications**:
**Mandatory**:
- Ability to obtain Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Eight or more years of experience in testing or quality assurance.
- Applied understanding of test automation tools and languages such as Java, C#, Selenium, and more.
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager Certificate or equivalent, or relevant practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring staff.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in leading or managing a team.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps delivery methodologies.
**Desirable**:
- Additional ISTQB or equivalent certifications.
