Canterbury League Club, home to our flagship "Clubhouse" - a 750-square-metre social playground for kids and adults where patrons play & compete on immersive virtual games including Cricket, Tennis, Baseball, Lacrosse, Darts, Golf & Racing. And guess what? We're gearing up for a massive expansion to 20 more Clubhouses across Australia in the next three years. **Job Title**: Canterbury Venue Manager **Responsibilities**: - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Canterbury venue and team members. - Handle general enquiries, complaints and incidents. - Coordinate with our bookings manager to deliver in-venue events, encompassing all activities, food, and beverage management. - Lead in-venue marketing and promotions to drive increased revenue. - Identify new business opportunities, marketing strategies & cost saving measures to increase venue performance. - Incentivised to hit venue financial targets and manage venue budgets. - All cash management duties, including balancing tills, safe counts and banking. - Manage team members and uphold 1st Class standards across the team. - Manage rostering, staff onboarding, training and inductions. - Manage staff development, performance, and goal setting. - Build an awesome team culture to motivate staff, including organising staff meetings and team-building activities. - Oversee stock management and liaise with the Canterbury warehouse and F&B teams. - Become tech trained on maintaining & servicing simulator equipment. - Liaise with the Canterbury League Club maintenance team for general maintenance and repairs in the venue. - Enforcement of Club rules including industry compliance, health & safety regulations, dress regulations and RSA. **Requirements**: - RSA certification & First Aid certifications. - Relevant management experience in hospitality or entertainment (2 - 3 years). - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong adaptability and organisational skills. - A true passion for guest experiences, THIS IS A MUST - Genuine curiosity and an open mind. - A desire to continuously learn and improve. - Ability to work Weekends. - A strong drive to pursue career development with SportsPlus - we’re looking for someone who’s excited by our company vision **And Who Are We?** - SportsPlus was founded by four passionate entrepreneurs with an insatiable drive to bring innovative entertainment concepts to Australia. - SportsPlus Canterbury opened in November 2023 and is our first flagship venue.
