High-Intensity Support Worker

Right at Home provides in-home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently. We are currently looking for Support Workers to join our Gold Coast team. **The role**:
Our High Intensity Support Workers are dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, especially those with complex medical needs, to enhance their quality of life. Join our team as a Casual High-Intensity Support Worker and make a difference in the lives of our participants. This role involves travelling between client’s homes and assisting them with daily living and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centred care and support.

**Duties and responsibilities may include**:

- **Personal care**: showering, dressing, grooming and medication administration
- **Domestic assistance**: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
- **Social support/transportation**: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
- **Availability required for sleepovers and shift work**:as well as weekend shifts
- Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
- Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
- Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
- Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required

**What you will need**:

- Australian Federal Police Clearance
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Valid Working Rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
- Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required)
- Smartphone with internet access
