Support Worker (Community)

We are a small, locally based Home Care Provider in Logan and Beenleigh, looking for staff who want to make a difference in an elder's life. We are looking for Community Support Workers who truly love their job, show commitment, have a great attitude, are willing to learn new things, and most importantly, listen and understand what the customer wants.

Duties Include:

  • Social support: taking clients on outings to the shops, the bank, a café or, out for a walk.
  • Transport: taking clients to appointments or respite.
  • Food preparation.
  • Respite care: assisting with exercising, dressing, toileting, and supervising the self-administration of medication.
  • Personal care: showering and assisting with other personal grooming.
  • Domestic Assistance: Lite house work

About you:

You will need to have a certificate 3/4 in Aged Care or equivalent

Be a Nursing student currently studying who has completed their Aged Care Placement

Have a well-maintained insured vehicle and a smartphone

You will be requested to undertake background checks such as criminal history, demerit point/driving history and reference checks.

Applicants may be requested to disclose any pre-existing illness or injury which may impact on their ability to perform the advertised role.

Applicants will be physically fit, have good communication and technology skills and be reliable.

Will need to provide two referees or references.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $42.00 – $45.00 per hour
