**Authority**:

- To request parts from the Stores for the Assembly, Service & Repair and Rental Areas.

**Job Duties**:The job duties of a general hand vary. They may include;
- Cleaning and preparing a job
- Loading and delivering materials
- Using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
- Receiving in stock & equipment
- Cycle counts for store inventory
- Assisting with store duties (as applicable)
- Assisting with General operational task’s or as required within NOV
- To keep the company’s tools and toolbox in good order, reporting any losses or breakages to the Supervisor and to keep it locked when not in use.
- To work in other departments as directed by the QA & Operations Supervisor
- Daily inspections and sign off on forklift checks, crane checks etc.
- All tasks to be completed in a safe / timely manner in respect with our NOV HSE management system & local Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare regulations

**Requirements**:

- Ability to perform assigned tasks with mínimal supervision;
- Ability to write simple correspondence;
- Ability to present information verbally in one-on-one situation and small groups;
- Basic numeracy skills, having the ability to use these skills with weight, volume and distance measurements;
- Basic Computer skills
- Developing knowledge of workshop procedures;
- Developing knowledge of the use and maintenance of workshop equipment
- General knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare regulations
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team. 

**Quality Assurance**:

- To produce goods to a high standard of quality and in accordance with the relevant quality assurance procedures/departmental works instructions.
- To ensure that the goods being produced are right first time and fit for the purpose intended prior to passing to the QC Department for inspection.
- To recommend new ideas for improving the quality of products and services.

**Training**:

- To actively participate in training procedures to achieve the highest quality the employee is capable of.
- To actively train workshop individuals.

**HSE**:

- To be responsible for the upkeep of the equipment used.
- To wear overalls and safety boots/shoes at all times, plus safety glasses, ear protection during hazardous operations.
- To report any safety hazards to the Safety Officer.
- To actively participate in regular Safety Meetings.
