We nurture your development and provide career opportunities to unlock your potential. - Working at IKEA has its benefits and rewards: - $29.59 base hourly pay rate + penalty rates (including on weekends, public holidays, and late nights). - 5 weeks’ Paid Annual Leave, Paid Parental Leave, Family & Community Leave and much more - Rosters published 4 weeks in advance. - 15% Co-worker discount - Subsidised meals and complimentary drinks in our Co-worker restaurant - Free uniforms provided - Free Co-worker parking - Bonus programme (where eligible) - Benefits Membership (savings and discounts on everyday expenses, entertainment, retail and well-being offers across hundreds of retailers and service providers) - Co-worker Loyalty programme (extra contribution to your superannuation fund where eligible) - 24/7 access to our Employee Assistance Program for health and wellbeing support Additional Information: - This role is Permanent Part-time, 30hrs/fortnight. - This role will be based at the IKEA Plan and Order Point in Cannington - The Hiring Manager for this role is Donna Gontran - Shopkeeper - The internal title for this role is Commercial Co-worker - Applications close Tuesday 28 October 2025 - You must be available to work a rotating roster with shifts scheduled between the hours of 8:00am and 7:30pm, and be available to work 3 out of 4 weekends (both Saturday and Sunday). **About this work area** - As a Sales Co-worker in the Kitchen Planning team, your responsibilities will include: - Designing tailored solutions to solve customers’ kitchen and home furnishing needs. - Actively approaching customers, asking insightful questions, and advising them on the best kitchen solutions for their lifestyle and space. - Supporting customers throughout their kitchen design journey using our kitchen planning software. - Follow up with customers after their initial planning appointment offering further advice, answering questions, and helping them move closer to their dream kitchen. - Ensure the sales area is always stocked, well-presented, attractively merchandised, and correctly priced. - Build strong relationships with your team and other departments, contributing to a collaborative, inclusive working environment. - Stay knowledgeable about in-store promotions, delivery options, product features, and benefits to better assist and inspire customers. **Who you are** - As a Sales Co-worker in the Kitchen Planning team, you are or have: - A passion for home furnishings and a keen eye for quality, maintaining a strong level of product knowledge and a love for sharing the IKEA range with customers. - A strong customer-focused mindset, always striving to deliver a memorable and positive shopping experience. - An authentic approach to generating sales, paired with a professional, self-motivated approach towards achieving sales targets and KPIs. - Clear and concise communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong problem-solving abilities. - A ‘Togetherness’ mindset, with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with your team. - Proficient computer skills and a willingness to learn the technical aspects of the IKEA range and digital planning tools. - IT systems capability with an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range, tools, and systems. **We need people like you** - At IKEA, work is so much more than a job.
