**About the Opportunity**:
We now have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our team as a Full Time **Day Laboratory Assistant within the Microbiology Department** of our Bowen Hills laboratory.

Prior laboratory knowledge/experience particularly in a microbiology laboratory or in microbiology laboratory techniques will be advantageous.

Currently, the shift times are 6:00am to 2:00pm or 10:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday in weekly rotation. The successful will also be required to participate in a weekend and public holiday roster once appropriately trained.

The successful applicant will also ideally have:

- Prior laboratory knowledge/experience
- Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and work methodically and efficiently, whilst adhering to occupational health and safety policies.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and also as an effective member of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide excellence in customer service.
