**About the Opportunity**:

- Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology_ has an exciting opportunity for two full-time **Laboratory Assistants - Biochemistry **to work from their Bowen Hills laboratory in Brisbane.

This role will involve **sample sorting and processing in the pre-analytical area of the laboratory.**

Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will include the following:

- Specimen reception and sorting;
- Preparing samples for analysis, including loading to the laboratory track automation system;
- Assisting the scientific staff with automated instruments;
- General laboratory duties as required;
- Assist with general stock management, including ordering, reception, and rotation of reagents and other laboratory consumables; and
- Maintaining an organised and efficient work environment.

To be successful in this role, you'll have excellent communication and organisational skills as well as high attention to detail to enable maximum accuracy of processing. Previous relevant laboratory experience will be highly regarded, although it is not essential.

This is a perfect role for enthusiastic individuals who have a flexible approach to their work, as you will be required to work rostered shifts. The vast majority of these rostered shifts will be 9 am to 5 pm Monday - Friday, with the occasional opportunity to work night shifts beginning from 5 pm. Also, weekend shifts and public holidays will be available once all training has been completed.

You will also require good keyboard skills and the ability to work as a team member in this busy department.
