**Our Opportunity**
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced people leader with strong experience in advice and in managing salaried advisers and practice relationships - Executive Manager, Queensland (AU Financial Advice and PFS Business Partnerships). The role is accountable for leading the core revenue generating capability and activity of the Australian Unity employed financial advisers in Queensland, and the self-employed advice practices located in allocated geographical areas, as well as practice recruitment. This role is a key member of the AUFA & PFS leadership Team, as well as the broader Advice Leadership Team (ALT), and will play a key role contributing to the overall region strategy, shaping and delivering key growth initiatives.
The role works in strong partnership with peer across other regional areas and/or with specific employed/self-employed areas of focus, to identify and leverage best practice. It is also expected the role will work effectively with enabling functions (for example across Corporate Superannuation Services, client servicing, paraplanning, technology, assurance, research and technical services etc) to ensure effective and efficient delivery of Australian Unity’s advice value propositions.
**What you will deliver**
- Grow and enhance the value of each advice business (AUFA, PFS and any associated business model) consistent with board approved strategy and priorities; and committed annual operating plans.
- Accountable for management, oversight and leadership of the Australian Unity PFS Business Partnerships with self-employed practices & financial advisers
- Actively contribute to the AUFA and PFS leadership team, and the broader Advice Leadership Team (ALT).
- Manage and monitor the financial delivery of associated adviser / practice cohorts under leadership to ensure budgeted growth targets are met/exceeded and services are delivered in a cost-effective manner.
- Implement, review and streamline systems, policies and processes to support service delivery, actively promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Build a high performing, accountable and adaptive adviser and client service teams through effective leadership.
- Manage people processes, risk management frameworks and your responsible workforce resources, including effective management of FTE budgets
**What we are looking for**
- Degree qualification in Commerce, Business, Strategy or related discipline.
- Demonstrated capability in sustainably growing quality financial planning practices / client base
- Demonstrated capability in effectively harnessing talent and managing financial planners through change and business growth
- A strong leader with demonstrated experience building, coaching and mentoring high-performing teams and practices
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and influence across peer group
