About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the effective development, management and delivery of professional workplace health and safety services for West Moreton Hospital and Health Services. Reporting to the Principal Advisor Safety, this role will assist to implement, review and report on work safety and wellbeing responses and strategies, policies, guidelines, procedures, and networks consistent with Departmental and Health Service policy.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in proactive workplace health and safety auditing, investigation and problem solving and identify risks and causative factors leading to flexible, responsive, client focused solutions on OH&S management issues;
- Demonstrated sound interpersonal and communication skills, evidenced by the ability to manage projects/claims, facilitate work groups and networks, work in a multidisciplinary environment and maintain effective working relationships using high level written communication and report writing skills;
- Demonstrated project and change management skills, methodologies, principles and practices and ability to undertake research, training, policy development and evaluation which lead to business improvement outcomes; and
- Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
