**The role**

We are looking for a dental assistant for 4 days a week - mondays to thursdays (negotiable, may be able to arrange swapping days with current staff members).

**Tasks & responsibilities**

Dental assisting:

- Chairside dental assisting for all general dental procedures within our practice procedures and protocols.
- Responsible for the smooth running and organisation of their dentist’s daily schedule.
- Maintaining and implementing the highest standards of infection control.
- Coordination of laboratory work with receptionists and dentists to make sure they have been sent off an received
- Teamwork with other dental assistant colleagues in various practice duties, which may include simple lab work (pouring models, organizing lab work, surgery tracking, etc).
- Stocking up the surgery to ensure smooth operation during the day
- Rough note taking during examinations and consultations, touch typing skills are highly appreciated
- Sterilization and re-processing of instruments.

**Qualifications and skills**
- Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting not required but greatly appreciated
- Experience as a Dental Assistant is appreciated
- Prior experience with Praktika - or ability to pick up patient bookings software
- Good computer literacy
- Reliability and good organizational abilities is a must.
- High standard of presentation
- Excellent attention to detail
- Team player with ability to build rapport with patients, dentists and employees.
- Implant experience is highly valued (set up, assisting, knowledge of components)

Part-time hours: 38 per week

**Salary**: $23.17 - $34.40 per hour

- BULIMBA, QLD 4171: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Dental assistance: 1 year (preferred)
