This position contributes to quality forward planning and analytical practices to enable informed decision making and better business outcomes. This position uses a customer centric approach to conduct research, analysis, develop and improve project management frameworks, including systems, processes, tools and other artefacts to ensure projects deliver the best outcomes.

**About the role**:

- Producing organisational performance-related reports, analysing results and delivering value adding recommendations.
- Researching, developing and improving project management frameworks, including systems, guidelines, processes and templates.
- Organisational reporting aligned with the corporate strategy.
- Data and metric collection and analysis.
- Supporting reporting best practice for project governance committees.
- Report on organisational performance activities.
- Provide quality customer service to project stakeholders via proactive engagement, advice and technical/operational support where appropriate and in line with the Program's area of responsibility (example - support customers in the development of project milestones).
- Deliver project and performance management user training to staff.
- Proactively contribute to a team based culture and the relationship management model with internal clients.
- Build collaborative and respectful relationships with key project partners and stakeholders.
- Contribute to communication initiatives to ensure regular and consistent messaging is delivered to stakeholders.
- Ensure all correspondence and documentation produced is properly referenced and captured for proper record keeping requirements and to ensure ease of recovery

**About you**:

- Experience working in a team delivering corporate and project support.
- Awareness of the breadth and complexity of project / program / portfolio management (P3M).
- Experience within a public sector environment, preferably within a local council (highly regarded).
- Time management skills, self-motivation with the ability to remain innovative under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise while working to demanding deadlines.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills to write and / or interpret business cases, reports and other documentation.
- Sound problem-solving skills in a specialist / technical environment.
- Credentials and / or certification in relevant fields such as change management, agile methodology (e.g. PROSCI, Agile fundamentals, ITIL).
- Membership (or ability to attain) with relevant industry association or peak body (e.g. Project Management Institute, Change Management Institute, Asset Management Council, CPA).
- Possession of a current "C" class driver's license.
