The opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia's (BDA) provides people, expertise, process and tools to manage aircraft design, repair and continuing airworthiness capabilities supporting program execution and growth opportunities. Forward looking, the Engineering function has developed a Capability Plan to enable the Engineering workforce to meet our defence customers' evolving needs, both in Australia and internationally.
BDA is looking for a Product Data Management Specialist to join the Engineering Strategy & Operations team, who are focused in creating Engineering excellence through diversity, culture, and strategic initiatives that will enable the workforce. In this role you will support E7-A Wedgetail aircraft fleet. This is a great opportunity for someone with technical data management experience in an engineering/maintenance/manufacturing environment.
This role is based at RAAF Base Williamtown NSW, RAAF Base Amberley or Brisbane City, QLD.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform Data Management activities as part of an overall project plan.
- Co-ordinate the flow of project-related data and library documentation within the Wedgetail team, and between internal and external agencies.
- Control data dispatch, packaging, protection and acknowledgement of receipt for Government Furnished (GF) system, Classified Data, Archived Data and documentation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data management plans, standards, processes, systems and tools.
- Effectively interface with our internal and external customers to support the operation of the platform.

Experience/Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably within a related industry
- Experience using Product Lifecycle Management system, electronic document management system, or similar.
