**About the role**:
Working as part of the Clinical Education team, this role is part of a team of experts in health and aged care aimed at delivering training and development programs to all care staff.
As the Demenita Educator Specialist, you will use your experience in supporting persons living with dementia to lead and present dementia training to ensure care staff are skilled, competent and supported in providing excellent services to our customers.
This position is temporary full time for up to 12 months.
**To be successful you will need**:

- Bachelor of Nursing with a minimum three years’ experience and registration with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated experience with planning engagement of staff to achieve agreed practice development objectives and quality improvements.
- Excellent time management, organisational skills and prioritisation in order to complete tasks with competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering, evaluating and developing new training programs with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills in mentoring and coaching others.
- Strong understanding of different dementia diagnoses and BPSD along with the ability to understand and identify triggers/unmet needs.
- Experience supporting persons living with dementia in a nursing role providing both clinical and cognitive assessments in an acute, aged care or community setting.
- Drivers Licence.
