- About the Role:
Eva Burrows College (EBC) is the National Learning Centre of The Salvation Army, we offer education and training including professional development, vocational training, officership, and higher education within the Salvation Army and to the public to build capacity and capability and deliver on the Army’s mission to transform lives.

We currently have a full time permanent position for an Events and Facilities Coordinator to join our Ringwood, Melbourne campus. The Melbourne campus also operates as an Event and Conference centre with accommodation and a diverse range of facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Workplace safety, campus services and facilities management
- Undertake workplace inductions for new personnel and visitors
- Ensure that WHS issues and any other risks are identified, reported and responded to
- Liaise with maintenance, groundskeeping, and Audio Visual / IT personnel to ensure that all areas of property and grounds are clean, presentable and ready for use
- Ensure that kitchenettes and shared spaces are appropriately stocked
- Maintain an inventory and regularly restock each apartment and townhouse with linen, asset and equipment storage areas and regularly undertake audits of their contents
- Undertake regular scheduled inspections for long-term residents and exit inspections
- Assist with event management, accommodation and venue and facilities hire
- Other Administration and Marketing responsibilities as required

About you:

- Qualifications in Event Coordination or a relevant discipline and significant demonstrated professional experience in functions and events, accommodation, venue hire and facilities management
- Knowledge of work health safety obligations and how to practice these in the workplace
- Well-developed business skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed IT skills including high proficiency in the Microsoft 365 software suite
- Excellent record keeping and document management
- The ability to manage competing demands while maintaining high customer service standards
- Physical fitness and a willingness to undertake hands on work
