Chief Financial Officer

Overview

Reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), this Executive position will provide financial and strategic leadership for the Group and its five operating businesses. As the CFO you will identify and implement strategies which positions the Group for growth, fostering commercially responsible decision making. You’ll provide thought leadership by delivering business intelligence and insightful analysis for the GCEO and Senior Management Team (SMT).

Established in 1991, Madison Group Enterprises (the Group) employs over 150 people across Australia and New Zealand. We’re comprised of both high growth businesses in established markets and others within a start-up phase challenging the future of tech. Our businesses work together specialising in the design, development and distribution of leading connectivity solutions and technologies with expertise across a broad range of communication, wireless, audio visual, industrial IT and IoT disciplines. In addition to our own products, we represent international brands such as HARMAN, JBL, Crown, Phillips, CISCO, Rajant, MOXA, Mobotix and Cybertech.

The opportunity

Reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), this Executive position will provide financial and strategic leadership for the Group and its five operating businesses. As the CFO you will identify and implement strategies which positions the Group for growth, fostering commercially responsible decision making. You’ll provide thought leadership by delivering business intelligence and insightful analysis for the GCEO and Senior Management Team (SMT).

Working across our businesses both in Australia and New Zealand, you’ll play a significant part in our continuous improvement. You’ll lead us to develop even better business intelligence tools to support the SMT’s collective decision making and the Group’s strategic growth plans. While providing leadership and accountability for all aspects of the Group’s financial reporting, accounting, tax, compliance, internal control framework and external audit process.

You will be a proven strategist who has experience in partnering with business leaders during a significant growth phase. You’ll be collaborative in your approach, a strong influencer and someone who draws respect from peers, Board members and other business partners. Using your experience working in a senior financial management role, you’ll be results orientated and metrics driven with a passion for accuracy.
