**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Facade Designer to join our Facades and Sustainability team in Sydney, NSW. In this role, you will lead Inhabit’s façade design development and documentation for our NSW team.

You will also be responsible for:

- Producing details of façade systems based on architectural sketches and assist in the delivery of detailed façade tender packages
- Providing 2D and 3D drafting using Autocad software for architectural documentation and dimensional details for the purposes of design development and/or drawing documentation as required
- Preparing façade technical specifications
- Interpreting and producing fabrication level detailed drawings, sketches and written instructions
- Reviewing design deliverables to ensure buildability and compliance in accordance with the client’s design team and specialist suppliers
- Co-ordinating project deliverables, managing production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget
- Developing concepts and sketches related to façade system designs into accurate Building Information Modelling (BIM) models and detail drawings as required
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, mentoring and support in design to other members of the team as required.

**What do we need from you**

Ideally, you will have demonstrated experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment with significant technical knowledge of façades or fabrication design. In addition, you will also have:

- Qualification/s or significant working experience in fabrication or architecture
- Demonstrated façades detailing experience for complex high-rise projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and REVIT
- Proficiency with Rhino, Grasshopper and Solid Works preferred but not mandatory
- Proven experience as a design manager within a consultancy environment
- Strong organisational skills to manage design administration, compliance and documentation within identified project deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
