About you
You are compassionate, motivated and have a strong desire to work with prisoners to make their time in remand one that is constructive and secure. A natural influencer, you are comfortable negotiating situations which at times may be challenging and are passionate about delivering to the highest standards in a correctional environment.
About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with all members of the Adelaide Remand Centre team to ensure the ongoing safety and security of prisoners, staff and visitors. You will carry out operational-related activities including supervising the behaviour and activities of prisoners while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. You will maintain high quality documentation in relation to case files, conduct prisoner assessments, prepare comprehensive reports and contribute to providing a safe and healthy working environment.
What to expect? Comprehensive, paid training course where you will be awarded a Certificate III in Correctional Practice and First Aid on completion Competitive salary Upon successful completion of the training course you will be offered a variety of hours based upon the operational requirements of the centre.
