**About the role**
The primary purpose of the **Quality and Compliance Manager** is responsible for managing all aspects of the Project Quality System to ensure compliance with Ventia corporate requirements, ISO9001, applicable regulations, industry best practice, and client standards.

The Quality and Compliance Manager is a key role in the project leadership team. They support all project personnel to meet quality assurance, continuous improvement and business objectives as required by the Project Management Plan (PMP) and Ventia’s policies and procedures.

The position will be located out of our **Mitcham** offices for the **Yarra Valley Water** Contract.

**What you will be doing**
- Lead the project QA function as part of the project leadership team
- Develop, implement, and maintain our project’s quality system in accordance with ISO9001, applicable Regulations, industry best practice, and Client standards
- Proactively identify, implement, and show-case continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
- Be the single point of contact for the Client’s Compliance Manager and all Client / head contract QA and SHEQ issues
- Manage all head contract audit observations, non-conformances, and resulting investigations swiftly and thoroughly
- Verification, SHEQ onboarding, and quality management of all subcontractors
- Conduct onsite QA audits of subcontractor and self-perform field works
- Assist SHEQ Advisor with OHS incident investigations and reports
- Ensure lessons learnt are communicated via Safety Alerts, pre-start, and toolbox discussions with field teams and subcontractors

**About you**
Ideally you will have relevant qualifications in Quality, Business, Construction Management, Engineering or similar accompanied with at least 5 years’ experience working in Quality and/or Compliance Management within heavy industrial, commercial construction, O&M or the utilities industry.

You will also possess:

- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO9001
- Head contract compliance management experience
- High level of computer proficiency particularly in MS Office Software, VisRes experience is an advantage
- Demonstrated knowledge of QA and QC systems for management of large project or O&M delivery
- Demonstrated knowledge of NCR investigation and reporting techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
