**Position Information**:
Eschol Park Public School is located in South-West Sydney and serves a diverse community. It is part of the St Andrews Network of schools for the Department of Education.
372 students are enrolled at Eschol Park Public School where students from a Language Background Other Than English (LBOTE) make up 39% of the school population and 11% of students identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. The school and its community have high expectations of students and value the provision of a variety of learning opportunities.
The school prides itself on its inclusive and supportive environment where all students, teachers and parents are valued as integral to the learning process. Many successful learning programs are planned and implemented by the highly dedicated, experienced teaching staff working in an environment of cohesion and collaboration. Teachers plan and deliver quality differentiated instruction to all students inclusive of those with learning support needs, those identified as high potential and gifted, and students from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and different cultural backgrounds.
**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (primary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (primary) in regular classes. Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers
Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating evidence based, personalised and group teaching, learning and behaviour programs for students with additional needs that set high expectations, are engaging and ensure equity for all culturally diverse backgrounds.
Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills with the capacity to establish effective partnerships with students, staff, families, service providers and the wider community to achieve improved outcomes for all students.
Capacity to work collaboratively to use assessment practices and data to drive improvement, specifically in literacy and numeracy outcomes.
