Australis Engineering are a family owned manufacturer of Automated Materials Handling Equipment such as conveyors, pallet handling equipment, robotics and packaging equipment.

With a strong pipeline of work, we are hiring qualified Machine Fitters / Assemblers to join our trades team at Condell Park in south-west Sydney. The role involves fabricating and assembly of equipment in our workshop and helping with installation of this equipment at our client's sites. You must have proven experience in a machinery assembly role as a primary task for this role is the assembly and fabrication of Conveyor Rollers. Our trades team are also required to perform occasional site installation work and occasional overtime.

**Essentials**:

- Certificate III metal trades qualification in Machine Fitting or similar
- Experience in machine or component assembly
- Must be able to read, interpret and follow a workshop drawing
- Must have capacity for occasional site work within Sydney, regional areas and inter-state
- Must have capacity for occasional overtime
- Must have valid drivers licence and own transport
- Ability to work well in a team and be a great communicator
- Ability to meet a deadline while retaining high quality work
- Must have a current, valid visa that permits full-time work, or be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia (visa sponsorship not applicable for this role)

**Nice to have, but not essential**:

- Experience in assembling equipment for food, beverage, pharmaceutical or FMCG customers
- Experience welding light gauge stainless steel
- Operating a Press Brake, Bender or Laser Cutter
- A forklift licence
- Electrical Connect/ Disconnect licence

The role may be suitable for a range of Trades people with different levels of experience, including entry level trades people with only 1 or 2 years of qualified trades experience, right up to people with 10+ years of experience.

As the role is suitable for a wide range of experience levels, wages will be negotiated based on your level of experience as it applies to our role. Remuneration includes wages, superannuation, allowances and overtime (when worked).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
