**TEN Recruitment** are in partnership with a WA owned earthmoving and mining contractor who specialise in bulk earthworks, supply of mobile mining and earthmoving equipment, road haulage and heavy transportation, and rehabilitation services.

This is an exciting leadership and management opportunity with an established Civil Engineering contractor working on a key project for the business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Understand the material, site personnel and equipment resource allocation for each project across the Civils portfolio.
- Consult the Project Manager on the commercial and operational risks and opportunities for each project.
- Work with Project Manager to assess daily progress against the project schedule.
- Undertake daily inspection of work quality to ensure engineering designs, contract specifications and regulatory requirements are maintained.
- Work with site Supervisors and Leading Hand personnel’s activities to deliver daily/weekly task delivery.
- Work with Project Manager/Engineer to coordinate any subcontract or vendors service delivery onsite.
- Attend project meetings and complete follow up actions were required.
- Provide regular project updates to the Construction & Project Managers in relation to any issues that may impact on project compliance, cost or schedule.
- Work with HESQ Manager to set site standards, processes and procedures for each project as required by the contractual and regulatory authority.
- Conduct risk assessments, near miss and incident investigations as required and distribute learnings to teams in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate Safety leadership behaviours on site at all times.
- Assist with ensuring additional cost variations are processed in a timely manner.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Minimum of 2 to 3 years working as a Senior Supervisor or Superintendent in Civil Engineering
- Experience in bulk earthworks
- Rio Tinto experience (desirable)
- Australian working rights
- Current C class drivers licence
- Senior First Aid certificate
- Relevant construction / civil engineering related qualifications
