**About the Role**
**Location**: Australia-wide
This position is a **one-year fixed term contract** to fill a maternity leave position. However, Beanstalk is looking for someone who would like to grow with our team, with the potential for long-term commitment.
As a Principal, you will play a pivotal role within a collaborative team to deliver agrifood innovation projects across Australia and the Indo-Pacific region. Supporting AgTech startups, international development agencies, multinational corporations, state and national governments, and more, you will be primarily responsible for leading key projects within Beanstalk, owning and building critical client relationships, and guiding the strategic delivery of high-impact engagements.
You will be supported by a diverse and skilled team of practitioners in agri innovation and will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of junior colleagues. Like peas in a pod, we’re a small and tight team with necessarily big ambitions to grow and fulfill our mission to create tangible impact across the region.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing workstreams (yours and your team’s), budgets, and client deliverables.
- Building and nurturing senior client relationships to ensure long-term partnerships and business growth.
- Owning and growing existing client relationships.
- Lead business development efforts to identify new opportunities, cultivate new leads and expand Beanstalk’s impact.
- Contributing to and supporting internal core functions such as operational excellence and impact capabilities.
- Developing and enhancing core client delivery ‘assets’ to streamline project execution and maximize value.

You can perform complex cost/benefit analysis and work with emerging technology and software.
