Program Manager, AOD Services Canberra, Permanent Full time, salary range $104,866 to $109,254 per annum plus Super

The Salvation Army is Australia’s largest provider of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services). We work to a modern, evidence-based and holistic Model of Care.

The Salvation Army's AOD services Canberra, located in Fyshwick, provides community-based and residential treatment services for people experiencing Alcohol and Other Drug related harms. Based on a modern, evidence-based model of care, our services seek to reduce harms while supporting our program participants to live full and healthy lives.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Manager to facilitate and manage all aspects of service delivery ensuring all aspects of service delivery are carried out in accordance with TSA guidelines and TSA AOD Services Model of Care. This role will report directly to the State Manager.

This is a full-time permanent position, based in Fyshwick, ACT with an annualised salary range of $104,866 to $109,254 per annum + super.

You will successfully
- Plan, organise, direct, control, coordinate, monitor and manage all facets of service delivery ensuring appropriate levels of care, education and support using a case management approach
- Ensure participants are internally treatment matched and assigned to appropriate Case Workers & other professional staff
- Audit and accreditation outcomes relevant to the area of responsibility are maintained and of a high standard
- Monitor compliance against funding requirements including Drug and Alcohol Sentencing List (DASL) and key performance indicators
- Contribute to the development of teams through mentoring and coaching
- Collaborate and provide support to the Team Leaders and other staff to assist in the achievement of effective service delivery services
- Negotiate, produce and monitor rosters in-conjunction with other staff
- Identify training needs, implement and conducted training
- Network with relevant agencies to improve participant outcomes

You will have
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, or similar)
- Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment)
- Extensive experience in, and knowledge of, AOD/gambling, community services and health sectors
- At least three years’ leadership/management experience
- An understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing AOD use related issues, mental ill-health and other disabilities
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the clinical management of clients with complex AOD and mental health presentations
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and manage staff performance across domains including clinical practice, professional conduct and professional development
- Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions
- Experience working in collaboration with other organisations to develop and tailor programs to meet participants’ needs
- Ability to motivate, inspire, lead and guide a team
- A current NSW Drivers Licence
- Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
