**Role**

Embark on a thrilling career journey with this newly created Head of Sales opportunity, brimming with incredible growth prospects. This pivotal role plays a crucial part in realising our client's business goals and go-to-market strategy.

You will operationalise the go to market vision, implement cutting edge technology and SaaS into the B2B side of the business, lead the sales processes, hunt down the business, and pitch our clients’ capabilities to prospects. It’s pretty much a greenfield position, leading a small team, you'll spearhead national & global expansion, steering the business to new heights in the upcoming years.

As the driving force behind the Trade & Commercial side of the company, you'll take on the mantle of building, coaching, mentoring, and propelling your team to exceed growth targets. Your responsibilities encompass achieving sales milestones, fostering enduring client relationships, and unearthing fresh business opportunities. Simultaneously, you'll lead and manage the B2B business and team of sales professionals.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you strategically plan and execute to achieve robust sales growth. Leverage your expertise to instigate strategic change, enhance productivity, and cultivate a high-performance culture within your division. With diverse routes to market and the whole B2B side of the market to tackle, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of our client's sales endeavours. **Skills & Experience**

To be successful for this position you must have the following:

- Strong sales management experience within the decorative building products market. Experience with Builders, Developers & Retirement Living is highly desirable.
- Happy to be out in the field, cold calling, prospecting, and selling
- Previously demonstrated commitment and good tenure with similar companies in the industry. Tenure is important to our client.
- Demonstrated people management skills, including the ability to coach, mentor and elevate your team members careers.
- Strong operational experience in previous companies, curious and genuine interest in technology and how to utilise it in the industry.
- Well-connected in the industry with relevant stakeholders, builders, developers is highly desired.
- Prepared to go through growing pains, ‘get your sleeves rolled up’ and look at the bigger picture. This is a long-term play for our client and will involve a big investment of energy and time from you over the coming years.
- You must be prepared to travel interstate often and build a business from the ground up and within a business.
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work across multiple functions.
- Superb with numbers, data, tech, CRM management and budgets.
- Five plus years’ experience in a similar position.
- Happy to travel interstate occasionally for meetings, conferences, and tradeshows.
