**The Division**

The division is focused on understanding the particular needs of communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure. We engage with customers, communities and stakeholders to ensure their needs are considered in the development and delivery of Transport’s plans, strategies, services and programs across NSW.

We do this by working with teams across Transport and sharing community and place insights.

This is to achieve our goal to improve access, quality of life, and sustainability and improve customer and community outcomes.

**The Opportunity**

The Rail Timetable Production team is responsible for the creation and development of the Standard Working Timetable for Sydney’s Rail Network. The primary purpose of the role is to support preparation, investigation and analysis tasks of the Rail Timetable Production team through the provision of quality deliverables which assist with the continuous improvement of the rail network and improved customer satisfaction through rail service improvements.

**About you**

To be considered for this role you must possess relevant qualifications in a related discipline and be able to demonstrate your previous experience. You will be a skilled communicator with exposure to working with a broad spectrum of stakeholders including technical experts.

The ability to astutely manage time and work collaboratively and closely with other parts of the division is paramount.

You will need to:

- Assist in the production of viable timetables and operating plans that meet timelines, customer and freight operators requirements, and infrastructure constraints to ensure TfNSW service objectives are achieved.
- Support the timetable validation and verification activities to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, business requirements, and infrastructure constraints. Provide recommendations for timetable improvements.
- Under guidance, support the development and validation of operating patterns and strategies while in the process of constructing the timetable and recommend changes to improve performance and robustness where necessary. Support and ensure the integrity of the timetable change request process.
- Assist with data entry and analysis to inform projects and reports to assist with the development of reports and presentations, providing insight and intelligence from field analysis to provide relevant information, advice and to support sound decision making by the team.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is $87,256 - $95,984 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
