**Description**:
**About the Role**:
This role will be supporting and reporting to the Group CFO on financing opportunities, focusing on complex lending deals from $10M to $100M+ in infrastructure construction.

The intermediate analyst will play an important role, from finance origination, and credit analysis to writing information memorandums, building financial models, assisting with due diligence and term sheet negotiations to closing funding for corporate-style lending and project finance.

**Day-to-Day Responsibilities**:
Perform credit analysis on rail infrastructure projects with a view to sourcing different types of finance including corporate lending (syndicated and bilateral loans), project finance and bonding.
Preparation and development of business plans, models and information memoranda for capital raising purposes.
Support senior staff in presenting to banks and other financial institutions.
Assist with managing the loan portfolio, undertaking periodic reviews, processing waivers and variations, and maintaining credit surveillance.
Prepare materials to assist in obtaining credit approvals.
Prepare ad hoc reports and participate in various ad hoc assignments or projects.
Re-forecasting cash flows to understand capital requirements and sustainability of the business and manage expectations of investors and bankers.
Balance sheet optimisation to balance strategic risk with financial risk while targeting an acceptable cost of capital.
Managing requests for changes in loan terms, waivers, testing of covenants, and other credit actions.
Industry, risk, credit, and feasibility analysis combining qualitative and quantitative techniques to identify funding opportunities.
Ensuring FCF/DCF forecasts & valuations are robust & reasonable.
Review of capital structure to diversify risk, while optimising the blend of debt & equity.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**About you**:
Demonstrated experience understanding data, reporting, and financial analysis that provides meaningful insights into business performance.
High-level communication skills including commercial acumen with analytical and financial acumen in reporting and data management.
Background in accounting, finance, and or banking
Proactive with sound problem-solving skills.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance and accounting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
High level of attention to detail and excellent time management and prioritization skills. Demonstrate superb work ethics.
Experience in Banking or Finance is required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial finance with at least 2 of those in credit risk.
Excellent knowledge of banking products (loan types).
Tertiary qualifications in banking, finance, commerce, economics, or another related field.
