Mamamia is Australia's largest independent women's media group and our core purpose is to make the world a better place for women and girls. We reach seven and a half million women each month across written, video and social platforms and we have the largest women's podcast network in the world with 55 different shows.
**About the role**
We're looking for a visionary Head of Lifestyle to transform how we create, distribute, and amplify our lifestyle content across all platforms. This pivotal leadership role puts you at the helm of our entire lifestyle ecosystem - spanning fashion, beauty, health, parenting, and travel content. You'll break down silos between previously separate teams, implementing a fully integrated content model that ensures consistency and cohesion while driving audience growth. As brand custodian for all lifestyle properties, your strategic vision will shape how Mamamia's lifestyle content resonates with millions of women across every touchpoint, from written articles and podcasts to social media and newsletters.
**Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us**:
- Implement a cohesive, cross-platform content strategy that eliminates silos and maximises audience growth
- Lead, mentor and develop a talented team of 15+ content creators across multiple platforms
- Act as the ultimate approval point and brand guardian for all lifestyle content
- Partner with commercial teams to develop innovative partnerships while balancing editorial integrity
- Analyse audience data to identify growth opportunities and optimise content performance
- Create efficient content distribution workflows that maximise reach without duplicating efforts
- Lead quarterly planning sessions and weekly performance reviews to drive continuous improvement
**Now, a bit about you**
- You bring 10+ years of digital media experience, with at least 4 years in leadership roles
- You have deep knowledge across multiple content platforms (written, podcasts, social, newsletters)
- Your commercial acumen shines through your experience with branded content and partnerships
- You possess exceptional editorial judgment and understand the Mamamia audience and brand voice
- You're data-driven in your approach, analyzing metrics to inform content strategy decisions
- You're an inspiring leader with experience managing diverse creative teams
- You have a genuine passion for lifestyle content across fashion, beauty, health, parenting, and travel
**Life at Mamamia**
We're fast-paced and innovative, with a collaborative culture when it comes to industry-leading strategies and ideas.
We're small enough that you can create real and tangible change, and have your voice heard, and large enough that we can support your ideas with experienced, industry-leading teams, and deliver them to an audience of millions of women every month. We have a startup spirit within a scaled-up business structure.
The core purpose of Mamamia is to make the world a better place for women and girls, and we live this philosophy in the content we create and with the work we do. While our core purpose informs every business and content decision we make, we execute on our purpose in a way that's engaging, entertaining and adds meaning and value to the lives of Australian women.
We're passionate about embracing AI and technology in our creative process, constantly exploring new ways to enhance storytelling and connect with our audience - we're excited for you to join us on this innovative journey.
**_ As well as being a meaningful and dynamic place to work, Mamamia offers:_**
- Flexible working conditions (Hybrid working model)
- A day off to celebrate your birthday
- Additional leave for years of service, plus annual rewards to celebrate your work anniversaries
- Paid parental leave

- The opportunity to work for a purpose-driven company and help us make the world a better place for women and girls.
