We are seeking a talented,** Business Support Specialist **to join the team. This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Williamtown.

Reporting to the Regional Leader, International Enterprise Services for South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand, this role is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Business Support & Site Services team for Boeing Australia.

You will integrate and execute the functional strategy in country and lead a remotely dispersed team (~20ppl with 3 direct reports) responsible for the delivery of broad services including facilities operations, strategic planning (facilities & property), site services and business support into our corporate and defence business. This role will also be accountable over the long-range business plan including prioritisation and management of operational and capital expenditure.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Be the primary business partner to our Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) and BAH leadership team on all matter’s facilities, property and business support
- Develops strong working relationships with senior leaders within the business units
- Accountable for all service delivery within the BIES portfolio into our corporate and defence business in Australia
- Lead and direct the site services and facilities operations teams with a focus towards safety and first-time quality including ongoing management of the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) supplier
- Lead and integrate the strategic facilities planning capability focusing on short-mid-long-term plans and scenarios for the facilities portfolio nationally
- Lead the BDA Asset Management Committee to drive visibility over the portfolio and drive decisions and prioritisation around property and capital expenditure
- Enable operational excellence and lead improvement projects driving at continuous improvement and efficiency
- Develop, manage and execute to annual budgets and ensure continuous review of operating costs while searching for ways to optimise costs and productivity to deliver value to the business
- Work closely with other local and enterprise functions
- Human Resources, Finance, Communications, Ethics, Information Technology, Law, Global Trade Controls and Business Operations to ensure coordination into businesses and programs

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- Tertiary qualification relevant to the role (or necessary experience)
- Minimum 5+ years direct leadership experience building and managing multi-disciplinary teams
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience and progression within business operations, facilities/asset management or program management
- Experience building and managing relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders in a large matrix environment.
- Strong aptitude and ability to exercise judgment and make autonomous, risk-based decisions.
- Experience operating in a high pace environment with varying levels of complexity and ambiguity
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including communicating and influencing at the executive level
- Australian citizenship as the role will require a defence security clearance
- Ability to work in the VUCA world

**Preferred Experience**
- Experience working in a Defence environment
- Post graduate master’s qualification (i.e. MBA)
- Project/Program Management qualification of experience
- Management experience within a large multi-national company
