Burleigh Heads, Australia Lives Lived Well Full time

Street CRED is multi-agency outreach service designed to connect with vulnerable young people on the Gold Coast, who may be involved in, or at risk of, homelessness, criminal activities, or other challenging situations.

The program operates throughout the Coomera, Southport and Broadbeach regions providing brief interventions to young people aged 10-18 years. The outreach operates from 2.00pm to 8.00pm on Thursdays, with a follow-up on Friday mornings.

The secondary component to this role is AOD Counselling within the local school system, on Friday afternoons. This is a collaborative referral system and focuses on re-engagement and minimising AOD impacts on young people.

This role is a fixed term position until November 2025, working 14 hours across the two days, with an hourly rate of $43.08, plus Superannuation.

**Your Opportunity**

- Engagement and rapport building skills - you will need to develop connections quickly and be able to interact with young people on the street
- An open and relaxed demeanour, confidence in working alongside young people who may be intoxicated or have previous interactions with Youth Justice
- Casemanagement including inter-agency referrals and providing a holistic approach to supporting youth
- Culturally safe and appropriate work practices, and ability to tailor your approach to a wide variety of young people
- Emotionally maturity, patience, and resilience - there will be both positive and negative outcomes in this role
- We deal with a diverse client group including CALD and LGBTIQ+ communities so you will need to offer an inclusive and open-minded approach
- Stakeholder engagement - maintaining relationships with local youth services is a key factor

You will need to hold an Australian Drivers Licence and current WWCC (Blue Card).

**Our Team and Our Benefits**
