**The Position**

Reporting to the Head of Campus, St Kilda Road, the Head of Middle School for the St Kilda Road Campus is responsible for leading a teaching and administrative team for Years 5 to 9. A member of the Campus Executive and the campus Curriculum Operational Committee, the Head of Middle school holds responsibility for staff management, pastoral care and the academic performance of students in the Middle School.

The Head of Middle School will develop structures and processes to ensure College and Campus priorities are achieved in addition to maintaining a focus on the pursuit of academic excellence and curriculum development. Other key areas of focus for the position will be leadership of the pastoral care program, support for the Student Leadership Program and ongoing promotion of the school within the parent and wider community.

Wesley College Melbourne, a Uniting Church school with a rich tradition spanning 153 years, is a diverse, dynamic, coeducational learning community with more than 3,350 students aged between 3 and 18 years. The school offers a rich and comprehensive program promoting not only excellent academic results, but also a concentrated focus on the Arts, Sport, Outdoor Education and Community.

Wesley comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana and Lochend, a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.
