APG is currently seeking experienced Head of Operations (Events) for a 12-month contract within a Government Sector based in Sydney CBD.

**Pay Rate: $850 Per Day + Super**

**Location: Sydney CBD**

**Contract: 12 Months + Possibility of extension**

**9am - 5:30 pm Monday to Friday**
Additional hours will be required the week leading up to and during the festival, including work at night. 6 days per week may be required during the festival period.

**The Role**
Vivid Sydney, the largest festival of light, music, ideas and food in the Southern Hemisphere and the largest event in Australia, is owned, managed and produced by Destination NSW. Vivid Sydney has been integral in positioning Sydney as the creative capital of the Asia-Pacific and, instrumental in driving visitation to Sydney and stimulating the city’s visitor economy.
- _Head of Operations is the 2ic to the festival director_
- _Heads up the operations logistics, safety, risk and business side of the festival_
- _Dealing with everything but creative and content_
- _Senior role with 6-7 direct reports_

**Essential Criteria**
- Advanced project management exp
- Logistical and operational experienced dealing with multiday large outdoor events
- Team management experience
- Budget experience, Including financial modelling
- Resource management experience
- Event management experience
- Experience dealing with timelines, plans, reposts, manuals
- Exceptional communication skills and experience dealing with a variety of stakeholders
- High level Microsoft word skills
