The Commercial and Project Services team at Xodus supports the business worldwide, establishing and managing appropriate contractual arrangements with our clients, suppliers and partners globally. Key Information

Role Description
We are looking for an experienced contracts professional to advise, negotiate and agree on contractual terms with our clients, subcontractors and partners, identify associated risks and opportunities and support effective management of these by the project teams. You will be involved throughout the contract life-cycle and dealing with multiple contractual relationships on a day to day basis.
Key objectives of this role are to ensure our practices and procedures are followed, mitigate contracting risk and provide appropriate contract and commercial support to relevant stakeholders in APAC including Japan.
- Review and comment on client contracts, subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements and other contract forms
- Draft new contract documents as required
- Negotiate contracts and manage amendments and renewals
- Provide commercial tender support as required
- Regular monitoring and reporting on project commercial performance
- Actively promote continuous improvement in commercial and contractual aspects of business operations
- Support due diligence on new opportunities and new clients/suppliers

**Requirements**:

- At least 3-5 years of experience in a commercial contracts role
- Experience within the engineering/energy consultancy environment
- Degree in a relevant area such as law or business management is desirable
- Sound understanding of contracts and commercial/legal principles
- Knowledge and experience of Australian and international contract law and relevant regulations
- A team player, comfortable with interfacing at all levels inside and outside the organisation
- Flexibility to adapt to varying business needs at short notice
- Prepared to use own initiative whenever possible
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills and a penchant for problem solving
- High computer literacy in MS Office
- Numerate
- Right to work in Australia
