Contracts Advisor

Clough is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the Waitsia Gas Project Stage 2 development, near Dongara, Western Australia. We are currently searching for a Contract Administrator to join the Commercial Team in Perth. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Contract Administrator will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and project construction personnel to administer subcontracts for the Waitsia Gas Project.

What you will bring to the team:
**Your focus will include**:

- Tendering, negotiation, formation and execution of assigned subcontracts.
- Review project budget and ensure adequate allocation to subcontracts to reflect subcontracting strategy on project.
- Effective administration of all subcontracts to optimise earnings on project.
- Preparation of all claims and variations for the adjustment of compensation and time under the assigned subcontracts.
- Processing invoices and payments in Oracle.
- Management and resolution of all claims with subcontractors / suppliers in accordance with Contract Formation and Administration Operating Standards.
- Review and certification of subcontractor’s progress payment claims in accordance with the timeframes under the relevant subcontract.
- Provide input to cost control and forecasting of final cost at completion position for assigned subcontracts.
- Provide commercial and contract advice and support to project team managing the assigned subcontracts.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Previous experience in a similar Contract Advisor or Contract Administrator position within the engineering, resources or construction industry.
- Proven ability to administer and prepare correspondence, position papers on contractual/commercial matters (Analytical and drafting skills are vital).
- Highly organised and energetic team member with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake ad-hoc site travel to develop relationships with the site-based project team.
