About the role:
An exciting opportunity to join the Merchandise Trend & Design team.

In this role you will have the ability to identify and interpret commercially viable global trends and be confidently able to clearly communicate these throughout the business.

You will have a strong understanding of the product development process. You will assist in the research, development, delivery and implementation of seasonal trend forecasts that enhances the on-trend appeal and commercial viability of our merchandise range.

What's involved:
- Support, collaborate and influence the merchandise team to assist in the creation of commercial, customer focused, co-ordinated and elevated product ranges that best targets the Bunnings existing and new customer- Support the Trend and Design team to develop, execute and implement the vison in line with Range Reviews, development plans, on-going category strategies and promotional activity- Assist in the research, development, delivery and implementation of seasonal trend forecasts- Ensure optimisation of best possible forecasting support via our global partners- Understanding of interior design styles to support whole of room strategies- Assist in delivering the Global Sourcing and Private Label strategies- Foster relationships and provide guidance (product briefs and sample reviews) to suppliers to assist in elevating product development

Who we’re looking for:
You will bring highly developed planning and organisational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative team oriented approach in order to successfully partner with various internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll need:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role- Tertiary qualification or equivalent degree in Interior design, Fashion Design or Graphic Design- Proven ability to assist with forecasting and implementing commercial and broad appeal trends- Advanced skills in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)- Proficient computer literacy across Microsoft Suite- Articulate through effective communication (visual and verbal) and a high level of presentation skills- Have strong researching skills and be inquisitive by nature- An eye for innovation- Have the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to create and deliver customer centric products- Be able to demonstrate your passion for creativity to deliver cohesive product direction- Attention to detail, strong time management and a ‘can do’ approach
