**About the role**:
As a team leader for complex needs support workers, your role encompasses overseeing and coordinating the provision of care and assistance to individuals with complex needs.

We are looking for a passionate Team Leader to join our disability support services to lead the operations of our SIL homes.

The role requires someone who is advanced and switched on when it comes to administrations duties as they will be reporting to internal staff and also the clients legal guardian

The role requires someone who is able to create professional reports that are reviewed by the internal staff and stake holders as well.

You will be responsible for managing a team of disability support workers whose role is to support the clients whilst in our care. Using your organizational and leadership skills we are looking for someone who can take the service to the next level and guide the team in providing high standards of supports and service.

The Team Leader manages the day-to-day operational requirements, work distribution and outputs of disability services and Support Workers across multiple locations in compliance with legislative, regulatory and funding guidelines and Marble Care policies and procedures.

The Team Leader is the key contact and relationship champion with individual clients and careers. They ensure a strong customer service ethos is implemented in the delivery of timely services. They seek to ensure any client complaints are dealt with at a local level to the satisfaction of clients and careers and in line with organizational expectations.

**Responsibilities**:

**About you**:

- Personal hygiene: Supporting individuals with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming. This may involve using specialized equipment or techniques to assist those with mobility issues or other impairments.
- Provide leadership and direction to the team of support workers. Offer guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise support workers. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any issues or concerns that arise within the team. Training team members.
- Coordinate the delivery of care and support services for individuals with complex needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the support team, ensuring that each individual's needs and preferences are met.
- Conduct assessments of individuals' needs and develop comprehensive care plans that address their physical, emotional, and social needs. Regularly review and update care plans to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Oversee the administration of medication by support workers, ensuring compliance with medication protocols, proper documentation, and adherence to safety procedures and use the medication chart.
- Monitor the quality of care provided by the support team, ensuring that it meets regulatory standards and organizational policies. Implement quality improvement initiatives as needed to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate care and support services for individuals with complex needs. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure continuity of care and seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including assessments, care plans, progress notes, and incident reports. This includes medical charts, bowel movement charts, food charts and neurological charts. Ensure that documentation complies with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Overall, as a complex needs support worker team leader, your role is to lead by example, empower your team members, and ensure the highest standards of care and support for individuals with complex needs.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a team leader is preferred
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
- Ability to support participants to achieve social and self-care goals
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Certificate III in Individual Supports /Disability Cert IV or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening check
- Current Working With Children’s Check or willingness to obtain
- Current Australian Driver's License
