Seeking Disability Support worker with flexibility and enthusiasm. Day, morning, afternoon and evening shifts available, with possibility of transitioning to full time or part time.

Are you a passionate, active individual looking for the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people living with a disability? Our participants are looking for support workers who are active, fun loving individuals who are happy to chat about last night’s game, play a game of pool or cards and assist with personal care in a respectful empathetic way.
- **Position Summary**_

The Disability Support Worker’s (DSW) primary responsibility is to provide assistance to participants with physical, developmental or cognitive disabilities during their daily routines and when accessing the community. This may include personal care, domestic assistance and support to access the community and engage in social activities outside the home. The DSW is expected to present a positive and professional image of DSS when interacting with the participant, family members, advocates, service providers, funding bodies and the general community.

The DSW will adopt a person-centred practice, which facilitates choice and control so that participants can achieve the goals and outcomes identified in their approved plan. They will provide opportunities for choice, self-advocacy and participation for the participant to lead an independent life, as well as facilitate access community services and facilities.

- **Skills & Experience and Qualifications**:_
- **Required**_
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working with children’s check
- NDIS worker orientation module
- Experience in the Disability Sector
- Flexibility to work various shifts (including sleepover) throughout the week
- **Preferred**_
- Certificate IV Disability or similar
- Drivers Licence
- Experience with challenging behaviours

**Salary**: From $26.23 per hour, plus penalties

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $25.60 - $44.79 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
