- We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Operation of Haematology analysers
- Perform manual and automated diagnostic testing
- Perform all routine procedures from point specimen reception to execution of results for Pathological diagnosis, including specimen dissection
- Compliance with records maintenance and recording of reults in line with protocols
- Specimen storage and retrieval
- Equipment maintenance and operation
- Participation in both routine and audit related Quality Assurance activities
- Assist with stock control
- Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of new assays as required
- Participation in training staff
- Liaising with internal and/or external stakeholders(referring practitioners) regarding test results or referrals as necessary
- Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance Processes
- Maintain confidentiality of customer

**About you**
- To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
- A Diploma of Laboratory Technology, Associate Degree or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience,knowledge,expertise and skills within Haematology is preferred
- Sound knowledge of QC,QAP and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated ability to identify,develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification
- Perform duties with a high degree of independence and with infrequent supervision
- An outstanding commitment to quality and excellence
- A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
- Must be a cohesive and contributing member of the team and display positive attitudes towards achieving outcomes
- Strong time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety and quality assurance processes and procedures
