**The Role**:
Based in our Adelaide office, the Production Planning Manager (Adelaide) will be responsible for the implementation of MES and MRP in conjunction with our existing systems to enable production scheduling, capacity reviews, and supplier management.

Additionally, the Production Planning Manager (Adelaide) will be responsible for the inventory control and coordination of shipping and truck freight with respect to 5B’s Australian assembly operations.

**Key Deliverables/ Responsibilities**:

- Implement relevant MES and MRP systems to facilitate analysis of workforce utilisation, facility layout, operational data and production schedules and costs. This will assist the organisation to deliver on a key objective: to optimise worker and equipment efficiencies.
- As a member of the Site Senior Leadership team, this role partners with the Head of Operations to advise and plan mechanical and production design, construction, and modifications and, in line with the planning of manufacturing activities, ensure timely Supply Chain deliveries to enable.
- Plan manufacturing orders and resources to meet deadlines at the right cost and quality.
- Manage and coordinate activities with local suppliers in order to ensure parts are meeting technical descriptions (including quality and packaging specifications), and to optimise manufacturing batch sizes (to meet our demand but also to match supplier's constraints)
- Inventory control.
- Coordinate the supply of raw materials to meet the manufacturing plan.
- Allocate the necessary resources to meet manufacturing activities (plant capacity, plant performance).
- Coordinate the shipping and truck freight with respect to 5B’s Australian assembly operations.
- Liaise with Procurement, Logistics, Production, Operations & Planning, Quality, Finance, Sales, Solutions Delivery and Tech.
- Develop lean manufacturing activities and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

- Must have a degree qualification in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience with demand planning and MRP systems is crucial.
- High attention to detail and good problem-solving and communication skills.
