**About our Opportunity**

As an Investment Research Analyst within Australian Unity, you will predominately be responsible for assisting and working with the Head of Research Services and Senior Research Manager in driving the investment research process within the Wealth and Capital Markets, Advice business to develop a high quality, robust and differentiated investment advice offering that supports both the Employed and Self—Employed Advice businesses within Wealth and Capital Markets.

The role includes working in collaboration with internal and external resources to assist in the training and up-skilling of advisers and the continual improvement and extension of our investment philosophy and approach.

**What you will do**
- Assist in the development of the Investment Philosophy and Research process with Australian Unity Advice
- Assist in the review and development of the Australian Unity Advice Investment Philosophy and policy regarding the Approved Product List (APL)
- Maintain and enhance the APL. Assist in answering adviser queries about the APL
- In conjunction with research houses/investment consultants maintain the Australian Unity Advice model portfolios and Separately Managed Accounts (SMA’s) including communication of information regarding changes and quarterly performance reporting.
- Manage relationships with research houses, external resources and broking services that contribute to the development of the Australian Unity Advice Investment philosophy and processes.
- Assist in the management of regularly undertaking asset class cycle reviews of the various underlying fund managers.
- As and when required assist in the preparation of papers for the Advice Approved Product and PFS IM Investment Committees.

**What we are looking for**
- A minimum of 3 years financial services experience including 2 years of investment research/fund management experience
- RG146 Compliant
- A full understanding of the dynamics of financial services and the financial planning process
- Understanding of servicing aligned dealer group channels
- Expertise across investment research, portfolio construction and model portfolios support services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and commercial acumen, thought leadership and operational excellence
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop relationships
- Ability to work within a team of professional individuals to align strategies and set business targets
