This is an opportunity for an experienced Rates Recovery Officer to join the Federal Government department on a 5-month temporary placement with the possibility of extension.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Senior Recoveries Officer you will:

- Monitoring and actioning in accounts arrears
- Attending to general correspondence and other enquiries, including telephone and counter enquiries
- Escalating complex accounts
- Advising Senior Recovery Officers of difficult accounts

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience with computers and corporate database programs
- The ability to make decisions following set processes
- Effective time-management
- Proficient communication skills with both colleagues and members of the public
- The ability to remain calm and collective in conflicting situations
- The ability to continuously deliver excellent customer service
