Due to growth, an opportunity is now available for an experienced Export Operator to join their team. Responsibilities will include:
Issue quotations for export movements.
Receive export freight bookings from customers and complete the relevant data entry process.
Source and negotiate rates, coordinate booking with shipping lines and process documentation for the movement of export freight.
Liaise with DAFF, customs and other relevant parties. Complete export EDN's, CRN's & PRA's.
Coordination of cargo collection, liaise with warehouse regarding cut-off's, pick-ups and ensure freight is checked in.
Provide regular updates on arrival details and status reports.
Ensure all shipments are invoiced correctly, completing profit & loss for each file.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers providing effective solutions to customer’s needs.
Ensure department KPI's & SOP's are met to management's standards and that customer requirements and service levels are met. To be successful in this position, you will have a minimum 12 months relevant industry experience within an international freight forwarding environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, highly organised with attention to detail and a passion for providing quality and personalised service. An easy-going and adaptable personality would also suit this small team, who offer a supportive and positive workplace culture. Experience with Cargowise software is preferred.
