**About the Role**
We are seeking a
**Leading Hand **to join our site in
**Ingleburn **on a full-time basis. The role will be responsible for the efficient sorting, filling and handling of SWAP, Industrial, Medical, Bulk, Dry Ice and Specialty gases. The shift is Monday to Friday working one on a
**Day Shift** and one on a
**Afternoon shift**.

**Duties & Responsibilities Include**:

- Be aware of and understand all SOPs, plant equipment operations and their usage
- The supervision and control of staff on shift as well as clear communication of work instructions including allocating tasks and training.
- Ensure all checklists are completed daily and report issues.
- Be responsible for ensuring Branch and Inter Branch Transfer requirements are met.
- Assist in all filling processes and cylinder preparation tasks required to meet demand and provide relieving duties for operators as required
- Practice and maintain compliance to Major Hazard Facility and Safety Management System requirements.
- Follow all instructions for all procedures without deviation.
- Be aware of and understand all written procedures for all operations.
- Understand and adhere to the code of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
- Authorise the release of batches ATP (Authorised Test Person) by signing off on batch release certificates
- Be responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met i.e. cylinders are filled / tested/ ready for despatch targeting 92% orders filled in full and on time each shift.
- Promote in all personnel the importance of safe working practices to maintain Safety First Policy
- Encourage a high standard in housekeeping of all Test and Update areas including end of shift clean
- Allocate labour to each Test and Update station at the beginning of the shift to ensure customer and production priorities are understood and followed through
- Conduct daily pre-start “tool box” meetings for shift personnel to ensure all work priorities are well understood and any safety messages or alerts are communicated
- Where required assist in testing and updating and filling of all LPG cylinders (15’s, 45’s and Supa Swap)
- Ensure all cylinder data is entered into manufacturing’s spreadsheet weekly
- Monitor weekly throughput in all areas of Test and Update

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- Experience in a similar role
- Valid forklift licence is essential and ability to lift heavy loads
- An understanding of the hazards of various gases
- Demonstrated experience in supervising a team within a manufacturing environment
