**Procurement Specialist**:
- Location: Adelaide, SA, AU- Onsite or Hybrid: Hybrid**About the role**
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible leading external and internal stakeholders to deliver all strategic procurement initiatives and management of subcontracts, ensuring timely performance and compliance with company and customer requirements. This role is key in delivering facilitating the development of supplier relationships through best practices.
Some of your key responsibilities may include:
- Manage a new and exciting projects, developing, and implementing procurement and sourcing strategies ensuring program requirements are met
- Oversee the end-to-end strategic procurement process across Direct Procurement, managing the acquisition of new capability and critical services and
- Build and maintain Supplier Relationships locally and abroad whilst advising, planning, and executing sourcing strategies
- Negotiate and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as across all business departments, ensuring close collaboration and alignment with the program of work
- Manage new and existing subcontracts, including drafting, negotiation, performance and closure.
**About you**
You will be a confident team member, dedicated to inspiring and motivating others to drive change and achieve business outcomes. You will have exceptional time management qualities coupled with an ability to balance multiple, demanding and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will have superior communication skills that allow you to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You will demonstrate your ability to work autonomously and possess the following:
- Australian Citizenship with NV1 security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
- Bachelor in Business, Commence, Law, Finance or similar.
- CIPS member (preferred).
- Supplier management experience within a heavy industry environment.
- Proven commercial acumen and negotiator, with thorough understanding of category management, supply chain mechanisms and risk assessment.
