Team Leader National Operations

**About the role**
- As the _**_Team Leader, National Operations _**_you will be responsible for leading the National Operations team to support the co-ordination of planning and delivery of national operations across a growing footprint of NHVR jurisdictions to ensure a nationally consistent, effective and coordinated regulatory response to identified risks within the heavy vehicle industry._
- Reporting to the Manager, Analysis Intelligence and Risk, you will co-ordinate the development and implementation of national operations including proactive and reactive regulatory plans, activities and evaluations including accompanying documentation to successfully deliver effective and efficient national operations._
- Key responsibilities of this role are: (but not limited to)_
- _Lead and manage a team of operational staff and intelligence analysts in a risk based/intelligence lead operational environment to effectively deliver the operations calendar, nationally._
- _Lead the identification of strategic and emerging trends and patterns of non-compliance that pose a threat or opportunity to the achievement of the NHVR’s strategic objectives._
- _Develop and maintain professional networks across jurisdictions, police and other stakeholders to build and maintain relationships to support heavy vehicle regulatory activities._
- _Co-ordinate the joint execution of on/off road regulatory operations by jurisdictions, Police, agencies and the NHVR to ensure operational delivery in a timely manner within a dynamic regulatory environment._
- _Co-ordinate the development and delivery of a range of documents on complex regulatory options including strategic deployment, detailed evaluation reports, briefings (both written and verbal), procedural documentation and correspondence._
- _Undertake Lessons Learnt activities to support the identification of regulatory improvement across diverse workforces in a continuous improvement framework_

**About You**
- To be successful in this role you will possess _
- _High level research, analysis and problem solving skills evidenced by ability to frame complex issues clearly and precisely including the preparation of operational evaluations, policy documentation, briefings, procedures and guidelines_
- _Formal qualifications in the field of Intelligence, Operational Planning, Project Management or similar._
- _Demonstrated ability to lead a team of people to provide consistent, responsive and high-quality operational delivery in a changing environment_
- _Demonstrated ability to develop a strategic work program, manage competing priorities and meet critical deadlines_
- _3 to 5 years management or supervisory experience_
- _Experience in operational planning, deployment co-ordination and or post analysis reporting_
