Rough sleeping and other forms of homelessness is an increasing issue in Darebin this officer will take a collective impact approach and will work in collaboration to establish the partnerships and service model required to bring together services to identify, address and remove service barriers and support people, known ‘byname’, out of homelessness and into secure housing.
This position works in a complex environment with a diverse community, range of services and organisations. Emphasis will be given to a partnership (systems based) approach with other teams in the department, across the organisation and with other service providers, agencies and levels of government.

**About the Role**
- Work in collaboration with internal and external services to establish partnerships to address homelessness.
- Identify, address and remove service barriers and support people out of homelessness into housing
- Advocate and build the momentum of a Towards Zero approach
- Plan and deliver collaborative homelessness forums/roundtable training and discussions
- Oversee, coordinate and test the establishment of a Functional Zero Homelessness program in Darebin
**Skills & Experience**
- A tertiary qualification in a related discipline such as social work, community development and /or extensive relevant work experience.
- Strong working knowledge of housing and homelessness service system and provision and emergency relief services
- Demonstrated experience project management and delivery
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience, including processes for effectively mapping internal and external stakeholders and engagement across a variety of settings.
