Our support staff are integral members of our operational teams, they are the foundation to ensuring we provide quality care to our families.

A rare & exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven entry level or experienced cleaner to work onsite with our early childhood education and care team at our established centre in **Southport.**

**This is a permanent role 37.5 hours, 10am-6pm, Monday-Friday**.

**About your new role**
- Cleaning floors using manual or mechanical cleaning equipment (mops, vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners)
- Emptying rubbish and recycling bins, ensuring bin liners are replaced and bins are kept clean and free from smell.
- Laundry washing and folding.
- Dusting and tidying of all assigned areas, rooms and furniture.
- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens.
- Washing windows, walls, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensure they are streak free.
- Ensuring bathrooms are stocked with all necessary items including soaps, toilet paper, hand towels, etc.
- Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and materials
- Ensuring that chemicals and cleaning products are handled and stored safely.
- Responding to scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning requests

**A little about you**
- Previous experience as a cleaner in an educational (school or early childhood) or commercial setting (highly regarded).
- Current blue card or willingness to obtain
- Appropriate knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously and have a strong Work Health and Safety focus.
- A flexible approach and attitude with excellent communication skills.
