In this role, you’ll provide robust analytical support across **Chartwells' division**, including detailed commercial finance analysis, active participation in commercial negotiations, and strategic support for the broader commercial team.

**The Role**:
In this dynamic role, you will partnering closely with the Commercial Business Partner and General Manager of Operations to influence key commercial and financial decisions. You’ll play a critical role in shaping retention strategies, developing commercial scenarios, and managing the full commercial life cycle of major contracts—including budgeting, forecasting, client billing, and P&L preparation.

Your insights will help quantify operational initiatives, track performance, and identify opportunities for margin improvement. You’ll also contribute to contract reviews, ensuring financial terms are aligned and compliant, while supporting broader commercial initiatives.

With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you’ll challenge existing models, promote best practices, and drive efficiencies that support sustainable growth. This role also includes providing backup support for the Commercial Accountant and undertaking additional duties aligned with your capabilities.

- Provide backup support for Commercial Accountant duties during leave or vacancies
- Analyse under performing contracts and recommend strategic actions
- Contribute to key initiatives such as Match-fit and other business improvement programs
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and bid modelling, including scenario analysis
- Promote best practices and drive continuous improvement across commercial processes

**The Person**:
You're a driven, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your toolkit includes:

- Minimum 3 years previous experience in commercial finance
- Experience in financial modelling and commercial review
- Degree qualified and/or studying towards CA/CPA
- Have previous analytical and/or accounting experience with a private/public company
- Sound technical and analytical skills
- Advance Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Powerpoint skills
- Positive ‘can-do’ attitude, who can work autonomously in a team environment
- Vibrant personality who will be able to work easily with their peers
