About the Role
As the Administration Officer for the Metro Teacher Recruitment team you will have responsibility for, but not limited to the following:

- Data entry, including the maintenance of the Metropolitan regional Teacher talent pool.
- Answering telephone calls and redirecting as required.
- General administrative duties including minute taking, printing and preparation of information packs
- Assist the team with event and presentation planning, coordination, and participation.
- Represent the Metropolitan Region at other career events, school visits, and universities to promote the Department of Education as an employer of choice.
- This role can be based at the Nundah or Mt Gravatt Regional Offices (negotiable) with the option of a flexible work arrangement proceeding full training.

- Have general knowledge in relation to guidelines, instructions and procedures relevant to the AO2 level.
- Has an understanding of contemporary computerised human resource information management, payroll and database systems and a commitment to personal development.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including the ability to establish good working relationships with a range of clients, internal and external stakeholders.
- Have the ability to acquire a working knowledge of relevant legislation, awards and policies applicable to the departments human resources and in particular Teacher recruitment.
- A basic ability to problem-solve using established procedures.
- Skills in identifying opportunities for improved services and outcomes.
- Be able to plan, schedule and undertake work within tight time frames and take personal responsibility for timely completion of work.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment with a high-level of time management and attention to detail.
