The Opportunity

This is a truly unique career opportunity to join our team as we approach our proud 100 year anniversary This position will enable you to tell and promote the Ventura story from its origins to its 100 year anniversary celebrations and beyond.

The purpose of the role is to provide effective coordination and implementation of marketing strategy, projects and communications. As well as providing management with promotional tools and communications advice, to enable the individual departments to develop and grow through development of products, services and promotion of the business.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Planning, creating, engaging and publishing relevant content across our social media platforms.
- Developing advertisements, marketing and communication strategies.
- Creating, designing, and preparing for our centennial year celebrations.
- Updating and writing new content for our existing website.
- Updating and maintaining content for our internal communications; including visual communications and construction of our quarterly newsletter “Road Runner”.
- Creation of new video content used for recruitment strategies and employee development.
- Providing support to areas of the business in marketing and advertising capacity including Charter, Recruitment, Fleet and Operations.
- Plan and develop new sales presentations for our charter team.

What you will need

Your creativity, excellent communication skills, energy and passion for graphic design and communications, will be key to your ongoing success in this role.

In addition, the successful applicant will have:

- Diploma or higher-level qualifications in Communication Design or equivalent. (desirable)
- Competent with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign.
- Formal experience in marketing, digital and social media.
- Strong understanding of website development, maintenance, and SEO skills.
- Sound writing and editing skills with high attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to plan and organise multiple tasks and work autonomously.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to “think outside the square” and see the “big picture”.
- Liaise with customers and colleagues in a respectful and professional manner.
